How secure is the information I provide to Afternic.com?
Whether you are a prospective Buyer or Seller, Afternic.com assures your security every stage of the transaction process. When you become an Exchange Member, your credit cards are passed to us through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL), and are stored using industry standard encryption technology. Once a transaction is complete, Exchange Members are further protected by Afternic.comís Closing Services, with the DNescrow Agent. We are personally involved in your Closings process whether your counterparty is in a different state, or on a different continent. Furthermore, Afternic.com tracks your domain name transfer process online. Each step of the way, you can rest assured that Afternic.com is both technologically, and personally keeping you, the Exchange Member, secure.

Will minors be able to view adult domain names?
No. Only Exchange Members who are logged in will be able to view adult domain names. Exchange Member status requires possession of a credit card, and the minimum age for obtaining a credit card in the U.S. is 18.

What are Parental Controls?
Parental controls protections (such as computer hardware, software, or filtering services) are commercially available that may assist you in limiting your child's access to material that is harmful to minors. If you are interested in learning more about these protections, information is available at www.worldvillage.com or other analogous sites providing information on such protections.
